Eagle Transport Corporation announces an expansion into Louisiana, with a new terminal in Saint Gabriel, to continue developing its presence in the chemical transportation industry.
With a rich history in the petroleum transportation business, Eagle Transport established its foothold in chemical transportation in 2011. Building on existing chemical-focused terminals in Kingsport, TN, and Houston, TX, which focus entirely on chemical product transportation, St. Gabriel, LA, presents a strong location to bridge the gap.
Eagle’s growing presence in St. Gabriel begins with an operations supervisor, Tyrone Elphage, who oversees the day-to-day operations of this location, which has three drivers and aims to bring on more team members in the coming months.

“We believe that having Tyrone on site at this early stage will enable us to grow the terminal and better serve our current customers,” Bobby Vaughn, Director of Chemical Operations, said. “Tyrone brings a wealth of experience, and we hope he will be able to hire and train all the new drivers on-site.”
Initial products transported include Amines, primarily for the Eastman plant, to expand this to other chemical companies in the area over the next year. The long-term goal is to develop this location into a standalone terminal, similar to those in Kingsport and Houston, as Eagle continues to expand and serve other chemical markets in the southeast by leveraging its network of established petroleum terminals.
With the addition of the St. Gabriel terminal, Eagle Transport continues to strengthen its footprint in the chemical transportation sector. This expansion reflects Eagle’s long-term commitment to operational excellence, customer service, and strategic growth. Looking ahead, the Eagle Transport team remains focused on building strong local partnerships, expanding its workforce, and delivering safe, reliable transportation solutions across the East Coast, Gulf Coast, and beyond.
