Alice Whitehurst Retires from Eagle Transport After 24 Years

After 24 years of dedicated service, we are excited to celebrate Alice Whitehurst as she retires from Eagle Transport Corporation.

“She is classic Eagle Transport at its finest,” Senior Vice President and CFO Joe Duncan said. “Alice is an amazing teammate and an amazing friend who chips in and does whatever it takes to get the job done. She always has the most beautiful and positive attitude, and that shines through in her communication with the Eagle family and our customers.”

Alice joined the Eagle team in November of 1999 and has been a part of our AR team as an Accounts Receivable Clerk.

“Alice is always willing to take on anything that comes her way, and we are really going to miss her steadfastness and consistent energy on our accounting team,” Controller Matthew Denmark said. “I’ve only been here a year and a half, but working with her has been a pleasure, and I know she has been a valuable long-term employee for Eagle.”

In her retirement, Alice is looking forward to traveling and spending time with her mother, grandchildren, and her husband, who is also retiring this year.

“I am excited as I start this new chapter in my life,” Alice said. “I have enjoyed my time for the past 24 years at Eagle Transport. It has been my home away from home, and I will miss Eagle and, most importantly, all my coworkers. I have made some lasting friendships and will never forget any of you.”

We appreciate Alice’s dedication to the Eagle team and her service to our customers these last 24 years, and we wish her all the best as she begins this new chapter.
