With our continued expansion and growth in the Southeast, we are seeking key team members to join Eagle in this region.

This Service Center Technician position is with our company's Service Center in Selma, NC. The role is for the first shift, Monday through Friday, with no on-call or weekend requirements. Travel is mandatory. Uniforms are provided along with an annual boot allowance.

We are looking for applicants with a positive mindset, a readiness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Pay will be based on experience, and your CDL is not required.

Job Duties

  • Perform essential maintenance, including DOT inspections on heavy-duty fleet vehicles and equipment.

  • Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including common shop areas and facility grounds, e.g., by maintaining recyclables, addressing fluid spills, and organizing bulk storage of tires and barrels.

  • Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.

  • Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.

  • Maintain fleet equipment as needed (cars, light trucks, class 8 trucks, petroleum/chemical/bulk/flatbed trailers)

  • In-service new fleet equipment consisting of decal install, telematics installs (camera, tablet/HOS equipment, tire pressure monitoring), perform PDI, install product pumps as needed (shaft driven, hydraulic, or pneumatic).

  • Out-service equipment removed from the fleet, consisting of removing all the above items, prepping the unit for sale, and making DOT repairs.

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to lubrication and oil changes; seat repair; brake, wheel, tire, and battery services; belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.

  • Perform basic to intermediate skill-level repair work on fleet vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to the alternator, starter, water pump replacement, and auxiliary equipment installation.

  • Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.
