Job Duties
-
Process payroll, perform payroll audits, and all employee profile/status changes including, but not limited to transfers, promotions, demotions, wage changes, job changes, terminations, and new hires.

Assists with processing payroll with accuracy and the distribution of weekly payroll.

Provide information and answer employees’ questions about pay-related matters.

Completes various reports, such as but not limited to BLS and Multiple Worksite Reports.

Aids auditors (internal and external) by providing reports and answering questions as needed.

Performs various tasks and projects as needed within the HR and Payroll department, such as, but not limited to, Verification of Employment, Wage Garnishments, and internal self-audits.

Assist New Hires with onboarding as needed.

Maintain and audit Driver Training records and update the Excel spreadsheet (both in terms of how it relates to payroll and their final day of certification)

This position will also assist with switchboard rotation coverage – about 1-2 hours every other week.
Requirements
-
Five plus years performing multiple payroll functions
-
Extremely proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office Suite products

Familiarity with Teams is a plus
-
Strong skills in using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll/HRIS system with some manual aspects; prior experience with Paycom is a plus

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
-
Ability to recognize issues and take the initiative to propose solutions
-
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
-
Excellent communication skills
