Eagle Transport operates terminals throughout the eastern United States, specializing in the transportation of fuel, chemicals, and dry bulk products. As our team continues to expand in the Southeast, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join us in Cookeville, TN.


Petroleum Drivers with Eagle Transport ensure the safe transportation of petroleum products to various locations surrounding Cookeville, TN, while adhering to DOT regulations, corporate policies, and company protocols.

Job Type: Petroleum Transport Driver (Local, 12-hour Shift)


Schedule: 5 Days on with 2 Weekdays Off, Night Shift


Annual Average Salary: $95,000 + bonus incentives

Job Duties
 

  • Complete dispatched loads of petroleum products by picking up from the rack and safely delivering to customer stores and facilities, ensuring that all deliveries are timely and accurate.

  • Manage all aspects of safe truck operation according to DOT regulations, Eagle company policies, and safety protocols.

  • Accurately prepare and complete all required equipment and delivery reports.

  • Work closely with dispatch and other team members to optimize delivery routes and schedules.

 

Requirements

  • Be at least 23 years of age.

  • Have a valid Class A CDL with tanker (N) and hazmat (H) endorsement (Combination X), and the ability to operate a vehicle with air brakes.

  • Have a minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience with a tractor-trailer within the past 7 years.

  • No more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years and no DUI/DWI/OUI within the past ten (10) years.

  • Have no chargeable "DOT-Recordable" accidents while driving a commercial vehicle in the past three (3) years.

  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English Language.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate

  • Driver must be able to sit, walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb as necessary to ensure closure of dome lids.

  • Grasp, lift, and handle heavy equipment, or sections of hoses to ensure safety during the hooking and dropping process of tractor/trailer combination ensuring the safe and proper coupling, draining, and disconnecting hoses.
