We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team. This role is responsible for customer account reconciliations, accurate payment application, discrepancy resolution, and analyzing payment trends.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, experienced in maintaining customer portals, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare weekly reviews of customer accounts to identify and communicate billing errors promptly, ensuring efficient resolution of account issues.

Perform daily uploads to apply payments to the correct transactions and relieve accounts receivable subledger balances.

Exercise professional judgment and maintain positive communication with customers to resolve account differences and past due accounts.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, Pricing, Sales, Operations, and customers to onboard new customers/locations and establish accurate billing/invoicing practices.

Handle ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Associate degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent work experience.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with IBM iSeries/AS400, ERP systems, and transportation management systems is a plus.

Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
