    Eagle Transport Corporation’s purchase of the rolling stock assets of Wendell Transport Corporation was completed at Eagle’s corporate offices in Rocky Mount, NC on Thursday, July 8, 2004.  All traffic originating on July 8, 2004 was under the operational management of Eagle as drivers and some staff personnel became employees of Eagle.

    Merging operations were completed in Spartanburg, SC; Charlotte, Selma and Greensboro, NC and in Richmond and Chesapeake, VA.  Eagle now has terminals in the Roanoke, VA and the Beckley and Huntington, WV markets.
